The incomparable experience in the application of the filling technology by means of flow-meters introduced by Ronchi in the early nineties has enhanced the reputation of the filling lines manufactured by the Italian company to be the main reference in the forefront of  the weight and volumetric filling lines available on the worldwide marketplace. 

More than 330 flow-meter fillersinstalled all over the world are the evidence of Ronchi’s constant commitment and investment in research and development, which translates into  the engineering of such products and processes to meet the most severe specifications and satisfy the most peculiar applications, thus responding to whichever requirement of the chemical, cosmetic, food and pharmaceutical industries.

The application of flow-meters to the filling lines, to be either of the magnetic inductive type for the volumetric measuring, or of the mass type for weight measuring, assures theutmost dosing accuracy, in the order of 0,2%. Moreover, being instruments with no moving part, no maintenance is consequently requested.

The measuring systems are placed overhead the dosing area (dry area) and protected by potential jams of faulty bottles; no electronic device is placed beneath the valves (wet area).

Dosing operations are controlled by a PLC installed on the filling turret; once measuring is accomplished, the PLC itself controls the filling valve shut-down.

In both flow-meter types, the product flows through the single or dual pipe instrument: piping is the only part in contact with the product.   

Wash-up operation consists of the simple passage of hot water or steam or washing solution through the feeding pipe and the collector, so as to reach the various filling stations. During the washing cycle, just the filling valves will automatically open up in correspondence of the purge pan, which will gather impure waters.
