Back from Pack Expo 2008

Interview with Michele Falsini, Area Manager Ronchi Mario Spa for the U.S. market.
First of all, how did it go?
Although we have noticed a lesser amount of attendees to the show, we had good quality of contacts.
What strategic role plays for the Ronchi Group attending to the Chicago PMMI Show?
Ronchi has been attending the Chicago PMMI show for several years with improved success each time.
Our attendance to this show plays a dual role: expanding our exposure to the North American market and consolidate our presence especially in the US.

What new tendencies have emerged for the packaging industry?
Package variation and diversification, up to some extent, is becoming a must across all industries, which translate from an operation stand point in an incremental requirement for flexibility without compromising on productivity. Machine manufactures are asked to put extra efforts in producing equipment that are capable to change over faster implementing easy to use solutions.
What role Trade Shows play for the packaging machinery industry?
Show attendance for packaging machinery manufactures is an opportunity for meeting with the consolidated customer base and eventually making new contacts.
