Asia confirms to be one of the benchmark for the Italian packaging industry

In 2008, according to the data published by UCIMA, the Italian Association representing the manufacturers of automatic packaging machines, exportation towards Asia have peaked up to a 10,0% increase, by confirming the second place in the market of major outlet for the packaging machinery, with a quota that has reached the 17,3%.
Doubtless Asia represents one of the most vivid and interesting marketplaces.
Ronchi, designing and realizing fillers, cappers and unscramblers for the packaging industry, has since some time identified growth possibilities in this area and has inaugurated at early 2008 its own branch Ronchi Asia Company Limited, based in Bangkok - Thailand.
Absolutely positive has been the reply received from the Asian market which interfaced with a team of experts of Asian origin and trained in Italy, who follow directly the Customers from the commercial contact through the consequent phases of manufacture, testing and start-up on the spot of Ronchi machinery.
Moreover, particularly appreciated is the technical support provided from the branch for the after-sale service, thank to Ronchi Asia’s ability of ensuring the supply of spare parts directly available from a local storeroom.

HERE IS PACKOLOGY

Announced since middle of September, the new Italian Show devoted to the Packaging Industry has been officially introduced to the press on the 16th October.
It has been named PACKOLOGY: the first edition will take place at the Rimini Fairground (Italy) from Tuesday the 8th till Friday the 11th June 2010
The Show is reserved to the packaging industry operators and will have a three-year periodicity; it is the fruit of the partnership between UCIMA Association and Rimini Fiera SpA that has allocated a promotional budget of one-million euros for this new event.
The exhibition will occupy the west wing of the Rimini fairground, eight halls for a total of 60.000 sq.meter area. On display to the Show visitors will be able to see packaging conditioning and processing machinery, packaging materials, labelling, coding and marking technologies, accessories and components, logistics, press and editorial applications.
PACKOLOGY is addressed to those operators involved in the processing, conditioning and packaging industry touching several sectors: consumption goods (no food), beverage, house-hold chemistry, pharmaceuticals, food, health care etc.

A new expo in Italy solely devoted to Packaging Industry

The first edition will be held in Rimini in the late spring 2010.
The new trade fair dedicated to the Packaging Industry is the result of an important partnership between the Italian Association which represents the Packaging Machinery Manufacturers (UCIMA) and Rimini Fiera Management.
UCIMA’s Chairman Giovanni Caffarelli stated:

The trade fair will cover all the Packaging sectors and will be a privileged showcase for the packaging industry technologies. We are fully aware of the important challenge the first edition in 2010 represents; however, we are equally certain that the product we will offer, along with UCIMA’s prestige in the automatic machinery world, will definitely attract top grade exhibitors, clients and visitors.”

The exhibition will be held every three years.

Propack Asia, a great breakthrough

9,62 %  increase of visitors if compared to past years, for a total of 29.600 guests coming from 63 countries.

These are the results confirming the great success of Propack Asia, the most important Asiatic event within the packaging industry.

The show, which took place in Bangkok from 17th to 20th June, has introduced a wide range of technological innovations especially studied to reduce costs and increase efficiency.

Ronchi SpA, which is present since 2007 on the Asiatic market through its own branch “Ronchi Asia Company Ltd.“,  could not miss the appointment: a Filling Machine of the EXACTAseries was operating at the Ronchi booth. Equipped with flow-meters technology, Ronchi Filler is renowned thanks to its utmost flexibility, high filling accuracy and lack of maintenance.

Packaging Experience

People dedicate an average of 35/40 minutes to the shopping tour.
80% of the shopping choices are made in a store; 70% directy in front of the shelves and 60% are dictated by packaging.
A product in a shelf disposes of just a few minutes to convince the consumer, and the marketing men are fully aware of this: since ever, they study consumers, their lifestyles, their attitudes, aimed at finding the way to attract and convince the consumer towards the product.
Not so much is known, instead, about the emotional reaction inside the shop, at least up-to-date.
The combined use of two technologies, such as biofeedback and eyetracking, allows to measure these reactions, by checking the emotional levers that determine the purchase.
