PET flat out

The PET worldwide market is undergoing a continuous growth.
This is maintained by the experts intervened to the Petnology Europe, which took place in Cologne, Germany, in March within the Anuga FoodTec event, providing the operators a wide angled panorama of the recent developments and innovations occurred in the beverage and PET bottles industries.
Experts estimate that the growth will be constant till 2025, with different growing indexes in the different countries.
Currently 85% of PET is utilized in the beverage industry, the remaining is utilized for medical-sanitary products and for food and no-food products.
The efforts of the companies operating in this field keep on targeting to perfectioning this material: even the smallest weight reduction allows considerable cost savings.
0.5L bottles weighing 9/10 grams can nowadays be found on the marketplace, half of the weight of the bottles produced until few years ago.
